South Isanti Baptist Church began in 1860 when a group of 14 Swedish immigrants agreed to form a new church. These pioneers had fled religious persecution in Sweden and sought a haven of freedom in the newly settled area of Isanti County, Minnesota.
Over the years South Isanti has helped to extend God’s kingdom by planting other churches in our area and by the support of missionaries throughout the world.
Through changing times and for over 150 years, the church has been a witness for Christ and a place of spiritual nurture in the Isanti community.
