Our Church.
South Isanti Baptist Church is a local church in Isanti County, Minnesota. We are a historic Baptist church, organized in 1860, seeking to faithfully follow Jesus Christ and make His name known.
We gather to worship God, grow together in His Word, and go into our community and world with the good news of Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the generations who have faithfully served this church and look forward to what God will do in the generations to come.
Our Church's Beliefs
We believe the Bible is the Word of God and the final authority for our faith and life. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who lived, died for our sins, and rose again. We believe the church is called to worship God, make disciples, and faithfully proclaim the Gospel.

Our Church's Membership
Committed to Christ, and to one another.
We believe that following Jesus means belonging to His church. Church membership is more than having your name on a list—it is a commitment to live as part of a local body of believers, worshiping together, encouraging one another, serving one another, and growing together in Christ.
At South Isanti Baptist, membership is for those who have personally trusted in Jesus Christ and desire to commit themselves to this local church. Members affirm our Statement of Faith and Church Covenant and commit to faithfully participate in the life of the church.
Our Church's Covenant
Having been led by the Spirit of God to trust in Jesus Christ and having confessed our faith through baptism, we joyfully covenant together as one local body in Christ. We commit, with God's help, to the following:
We will foster the unity of this church by loving, encouraging, serving, and forgiving one another.
We will promote the fruitfulness of this church by faithfully gathering with God’s people for prayer, worship, fellowship, and the teaching of scripture. We will pursue personal holiness, disciple those under our care, and seek the salvation of others.
We will support the work of this church by giving generously and actively serving various needs. We will honor and follow this church’s leadership, and biblically test its teaching to guard the clarity of this church’s doctrine and gospel witness.
As we entrust ourselves to the care of this church, we are asking for and expecting support to maintain our own gospel testimony and growth in Christ. We welcome encouragement, loving correction, accountability, and discipline when needed.
We make these promises in humility, depending on God’s grace, knowing we will stumble but commit to our own repentance and each other's growth.
If we ever move from this area, we will promptly and proactively seek to join another faithful, gospel-preaching church.
Our Church's Pastor
Josh has served as the Pastor of South Isanti Baptist Church since May of 2025. He is passionate about expository preaching and desires to see the church shaped by Scripture. He loves the local church and is especially passionate about healthy church membership, meaningful fellowship, and equipping the church to faithfully make disciples and serve the next generation.
Josh and his wife, Amy, moved from California to Minnesota in 2019 and have a growing family. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry and a Master of Divinity, and has served in pastoral ministry in churches in both California and Minnesota.
Outside of church, Josh enjoys reading, DIY projects, gardening, fishing, spending time with his family, and watching the birds in his yard. He is grateful to serve South Isanti Baptist and be part of what God has been doing here for generations.
